: This study involved field research on mammals in Kafta-Sheraro National Park. Ethical approval was obtained from the Ethics Committee of Mekelle University, Ethiopia prior to the commencement of the fieldwork. All procedures strictly adhered to institutional regulations and legal requirements concerning mammal research, particularly for endangered species, and complied with both the park’s rules and international protected area guidelines. Importantly, no animals were harmed, captured, or used for laboratory analysis during this study. Official permission to conduct the research was secured from the park authorities and management. Before starting the study, the research objectives were explained to the park officials, and their informed consent was obtained. Additionally, park scouts and rangers participated in data collection after receiving training and being briefed on the purpose of the study.
