:
: The survey discussed within this manuscript was originally designed for the purposes of program evaluation and improvement, exploring reasons why SFCCÂ PrEP patients opt to discontinue PrEP and attempting to use text-messaging to re-engage them in care. As such, it was determined by our Institutional Review Board (IRB) not to require IRB approval. It was conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of our institution and with the principles set forth in the Declaration of Helsinki. This type of assessment, with the primary goal of program evaluation and improvement, does not require formal informed consent.
