: The research presented in this manuscript, titled “Coaching Support in Gender-Sensitive Training: A Study on the Coping Mechanisms of Female Athletes’ Menstrual Cycles,” was conducted in accordance with the ethical standards approved by the institutional research ethics committee and adheres to the principles of the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments. All participants (N >700), including both coaches and athletes, were clearly informed of the study’s purpose, the voluntary nature of their involvement, and their right to discontinue participation at any time without any consequence. Only individuals who fully understood the study information and agreed to participate were included. The study did not collect any personal identifying information, and all responses remained strictly anonymous. Data confidentiality was maintained throughout, and all data were stored and managed following institutional data protection requirements. The study did not involve any deception, physical intervention, or psychological risk. Given the sensitive nature of topics related to menstrual health and gender-based interactions, additional safeguards were implemented to promote participant comfort, including the use of gender-matched research assistants and the option to skip any questions they preferred not to answer. The authors confirm that all ethical principles were carefully upheld across the planning, implementation, analysis, and reporting stages of this study.
: This study was approved by the Ethics Review Board of Wuxi Taihu University (Approval No. WXTC-IRB-2024-031). All procedures were conducted in accordance with institutional and national research committee standards. Informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study.
