: Fieldwork involving capture, handling and release of Chelonia mydas was authorized by ICMBio/SISBIO (Biodiversity Authorization and Information System from Chico Mendes Biodiversity Institute) (License number 61063). No turtles were euthanized. Field collections of invertebrates were conducted in accordance with local regulations, and no ethical approval was required.
