: All procedures performed in this study involving animals were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institution; veterinary inspection service consulted on this subject considered that no formal ethics approval was required to conduct this research. Individual milk samples were collected according to the National Mastitis Council procedures (NMC ). Prior written consent was given by the farm owners before sampling. No experiments were conducted on the animals tested.
