: Ethical approval to collect ticks from cattle and conduct the acaricide resistance assays was obtained from the Ethical and Higher Degrees committees of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Zimbabwe and the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS), Zimbabwe and the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS), Zimbabwe, <i>Reference number</i> VEHDC 2018/03. The purpose of the study was well explained to the veterinary department employees and farmers during the questionnaire survey and tick collection from cattle was with the farmers’ consent.
