: Protocols of sampling of the animals were approved by the Tanzania Livestock Research Institute Research Commetee and followed the guidelines stated in the Tanzania Livestock Research Institute Act No. 4 of 2012, in the Tanzania Animal Welfare Act No. 19 of 2008, and in the Guide for the Care and Use of Agricultural Animals in Research and Teaching (FASS ). Verbal informed consent from owners of animals was given prior to start of the sampling process.
