: Within the context of the current study, the institution where the researchers belong did not have an established animal ethics committee at the time the study was conducted. The study was reviewed and approved by the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Larache, University of Abdelmalek Essaâdi. The animal-related procedures followed internationally accepted standards for the use of animals in research. The researchers clarified that the standards for the use of animals for research, as outlined in Directive 2010/63/EU, have been followed. The procedures involved normal husbandry practices and/or non-invasive or minimally invasive sampling of blood and reproductive material by qualified personnel. The study followed national requirements for the use of animal experimentation. The survey among the goat breeders was validated for scientific research by the Scientific Research and Cooperation Section of the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Larache; permission was waived for ethical approval since the research was non-commercial, did not involve experimental intervention, or pose a threat to the subjects. Voluntary participation in the survey was assured, with anonymous responses used exclusively. Personal information was strictly protected in keeping with the applicable law in Morocco concerning the protection of personal data (Law 09 − 08, published in Dahir no. 1-09-15 of 18th February 2009).
