: The owners of all animals included in the study gave their written informed consent that leftovers from blood samples obtained by venipuncture for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes could also be used for research. Additional samples from cases and controls were collected during experiments approved by the Animal Experimentation Committee of the Canton of Bern, Switzerland (BE110/15, BE41/19 +). In the course of sample collection, particular attention was paid to adhere unequivocally to a high standard (best practice) of veterinary care.
