: The research was approved by the appropriate Institutional Biosafety Committee, Faculty of Basic Science, Madras Veterinary College Campus, Chennai. The research work approved by the Registrar, TANUVAS under the USO No. 50164/G2/2021 Proc.No. 13721/G2/2019. Samples were collected as part of veterinary care by a well-trained veterinary practitioner from the Department of Veterinary Gynecology and Obstetrics, Veterinary College and Research Institute, TANUVAS, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India. The sample collection was carried out strictly adhering to the guidelines and regulations of the Committee for the Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (2018) and Breeding of and Experiments on Animals (control and supervision) Rules, 2006. No extra discomfort was caused during sample collection. The collection of the material is considered as a routine veterinary practice to ensure the well-being of animal and is non- experimental research. Therefore, did not require ethical approval by the animal experimentation committee. Informed oral consent was obtained from the owner at the time of sampling. All the performed methods were in accordance with the ARRIVE guidelines and regulations.
