: The study involves screening of field swine serum samples for Japanese encephalitis virus. The study protocol was assessed and approved by Deemed University, ICAR- Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) and by Institute Research Committee, IVRI. The field samples were collected by Veterinarians adhering to the regulations and guidelines on animal husbandry and welfare after taking verbal consent of the animal owner.
