: The present publication includes an analysis of the current concerns and limitations in new-generation neurostimulation systems able to stimulate and inhibit neural activity with single-neuron resolution. Moreover, this work improves the experiments performed in the previous conference paper, extending the design and implementation of the neural cyberattacks with a richer analysis. Finally, this publication includes a discussion of the results, highlighting the main differences with the state of the art.
