: This study was conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments, the Belmont Report principles, and the applicable national regulation in Mexico (Reglamento de la Ley General de Salud en Materia de Investigación para la Salud). The study was approved by the Research and Ethics Committee of the Facultad de Química at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (Approval code: CIE-FQ-2025-013).

: Prior to data collection, written informed consent was obtained from parents/guardians and verbal assent from each child using age-appropriate explanations; participation was voluntary, with the right to withdraw at any time without consequences. No sensitive data or direct identifiers were collected; information was coded and handled confidentially and anonymized, under minimal-risk conditions and in compliance with the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares.
