: The conduct of the 45 and Up Study was approved by the University of NSW Human Research Ethics Committee. Ethical approval for this study was granted by the NSW Population & Health Services Research Ethics Committee (Reference Number: 2021/ETH12383) following review and approval by the Sax Institute Scientific Review Panel. Project access was authorised by the Sax Institute, with data availability commencing in March 2025. Researchers accessed the data securely through the Sax Institute’s Secure Unified Research Environment (SURE). All datasets were de-identified before analysis, with participant-level linkage across databases enabled using unique Sax Institute Project Person Numbers (PPN). All participants provided consent for ongoing follow-up and linkage to routinely collected health data using participant PPN.
