: Mindful that our identities can influence our approach to science, the authors wish to provide the reader with information about our backgrounds. At the time of manuscript writing, with respect to gender, four authors identified as women, one author identified as a man, and one author identified as gender fluid. With respect to ethnicity, four authors identified as white, one author identified as mixed European, and one author identified as East Asian. Five authors identified as heterosexual and one author identified as queer. All authors had post-secondary education. Four authors identified as having lived experience with trauma and all authors identified as having lived experience with mental health and/or substance use concerns.
