: As part of the POINT Study (Identification and Prevention of Potentially Inappropriate Inter-Hospital Transfer, AHRQ R01 HS028621), participants were provided an informed consent form that explained the purpose of the research with the opportunity to contact the principal investigator (Dr. Stephanie Mueller) with any questions or clarifications. Participants were informed that their participation was optional and that they could withdraw at any time without penalty. They were also informed that their data would be deidentified prior to analysis to ensure confidentiality; data was securely stored on password-encrypted servers. Participants provided consent by responding to recruitment emails and prior to the start of each focus group. This portion of the POINT Study was reviewed and deemed exempt by the Mass General Brigham Institutional Review Board (Protocol #2022P002158).
