: All experimental procedures involving animals were reviewed and approved by the Thi-Qar Ethical Committee for Animal Research (Approval No. 7/54/1727). The study was conducted in strict accordance with both institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals. Every effort was made to minimize animal suffering and reduce the number of animals used. Fecal samples for parasite isolation were obtained from adult patients after obtaining written informed consent. The procedure was reviewed and approved by the Thi-Qar University Human Research Ethics Committee (Approval No. 7/54/225, dated 15/02/2024), in accordance with the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki.
