: All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. The Swiss Cantonal Ethics Committees of Zurich, Vaud and Northwest- and Central Switzerland approved the creation and analysis of the Global Benchmarks in Secondary Bariatric Surgery database (BASEC-Nr. 2019–02145). Centers from the European Union complied with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679).
