As described in the submission guidelines,obtaining consent is not required in situations where “images such as X-rays, laparoscopic images, ultrasoundimages, brain scans, or pathology slides are provided, unless there is a concern regarding identifying information, inwhich case authors should ensure that consent is obtained.” In the present clinical case, only CT images were used,in which it is not possible to identify the patient.
