: This study received approval from the Irish College of General Practitioners Research Ethics Committee. (Approval: ICGP_REC_21_0046) Researchers observed ethical considerations by providing written information about the study’s objectives and ensuring anonymity while preserving data integrity. In compliance with the Health Research Regulations 2018 and subsequent amendments by the Department of Health (S.I. No. 314 of 2018), our study's retrospective chart reviews were conducted by practice staff, who, in their routine duties, have access to health record information. This approach aligns with the regulations' provision that explicit consent is not required for such reviews when conducted within the data controller's organization, provided all GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and Health Research Regulations safeguards are met, including research ethics approval.
