: This study proposes a new technology for automatic pavement crack detection based on the YOLOv8-D-CBAM model. The proposal of this advanced computer technology greatly improves the efficiency of road maintenance and repair decision-making, and effectively reduces the risk of road accidents and guarantees personal security. At the same time, the research of this model has wide range of applications. For example, this technology can also be used in the manufacture of road-building materials such as cement, concrete, asphalt and steel. Feedback from the generated model can optimize thermal, chemical and mechanical factors, among others, and thus greatly improve decision-making in road design and manufacturing.
