: All animal experiments conducted in this study complied with the ARRIVE guidelines and followed the Guidance on the Operation of Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, in accordance with EU Directive 2010/63 and the NIH Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. Ethical approval was granted by the University of Mosul, College of Veterinary, with the official ethical approval form numbered 229, dated 20 September 2023.
: The animal experiments were performed at the University of Mosul, and the animals were housed under controlled conditions. Rats were kept in plastic cages with mesh coverings, and the floors were covered with sawdust, which was replaced three to four times weekly to maintain cleanliness. Housing conditions included a temperature range of 20–28 °C and a 12-hour light-dark cycle, providing a standard environment for the animals throughout the study.
