: The NUGLIC study was conducted according to ethical research principles established in the Declaration of Helsinki, in the Declaration of Americas and in the 466/12 resolution from Brazilian National Health Council. Institutional Review Boards from and all center sites approved the protocol, and subjects consented to their participation prior to inclusion in the study. NUGLIC trial is registered in the ClinicalTrials.gov database under the identification number NCT03793855. This sub-study was submitted to the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Lavras and was approved under opinion 4.890.991.
