: Ethics approval was not applicable, as this study did not involve human participants or animal models. All cell lines (A549 and Calu-3) were obtained from Pasteur Institute of Iran and were authenticated by short tandem repeat (STR) profiling. Cells were routinely tested and confirmed to be free of mycoplasma contamination.
