: MCAO is a commonly used method to mimic ischemic stroke in animal models. Mice were housed in a controlled environment with 12-h light/dark cycle and free access to food and water. Prior to surgical interventions, mice were euthanized with isoflurane (0.41 ml/min at 4 L/min fresh gas flow). The experimental and specimen collection procedures were reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University (Ethical Approval No.: 2021–752).
