: In accordance with CICUAL (Institutional Commission for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals) regulations governing the use of animals in laboratory trials in Argentina, the samples used in our study did not require a specific CICUAL protocol. All specimens were collected from nature after they had already become non-viable; therefore, there was no interruption in the life cycle of these bees.
