: This study was approved by the institutional ethics committee (REF: CSP/17/JAN/54/23). Informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to data collection.
: All (n = 100) parents of children who received cochlear implantation through the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHS) between 2013 and 2016 in a tertiary care hospital in the state of Tamil Nadu were included in the study. Consent form in local language which was approved by institutional ethics committee was obtained prior to data collection.
