The study protocol was assessed and approved by Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, Haryana, India. The collection of faecal samples was performed by veterinarians who adhered to regulations and guidelines on animal husbandry and welfare. Verbal consent was obtained from the animal owner before collecting faecal samples from the buffalo calves used in this experiment.
