: The study involving the use of archived patient samples and retrospective clinical data was approved by the Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics of Northern Norway (Protocol numbers 2013/1786 and 2015/1381). All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. For this type of retrospective study, formal consent is not required; however, patients who were still alive were given the opportunity to opt out, and the requirement for written or oral informed consent was waived by the ethics committee.
