: This article is a revised and expanded version of the conclusion of the book Migration et classement social. Enquête auprès de migrants marocains au Québec published in 2022 by Presses de l'Université de Montréal. It is not a simple translation from French, since 90% of this manuscript has been completely rewritten. I have read the ethical responsibilities of authors on the Society website, and I declare that I abide by them.
