: The research involved human participants.
: In adherence to ethical principles governing research involving vulnerable populations, particularly survivors of trafficking in persons, stringent measures were incorporated into both the design and execution of this study. Participant recruitment was conducted via trustworthy channels, that is, members of anti-trafficking teams from civil society operating in Cambodia and Myanmar, who are adept in trauma-informed practices. These individuals facilitated the survey process by providing survivors with access to the survey link and offering guidance throughout the participation. All potential participants were provided with a clear information sheet that emphasised the voluntary nature of the participation, the purpose of the research, how the data would be used, and the right to withdraw from the study at any point without consequence. In conducting interviews for this research, several ethical considerations were carefully adhered to, with a primary focus on ensuring the anonymity, confidentiality, and well-being of the participants. The survivors selected were in a safe situation and were assured that their participation would not expose them to any threats or harm. Participants were provided with comprehensive information about the research objectives and procedures, and their informed consent was obtained. Steps were taken to minimise any potential harm or discomfort that participants might encounter during the interview process, including providing a supportive environment and reminding them they could stop and withdraw at any time.
