: Before data collection, efforts were made to meet ethical requirements for research in accordance with the research ethics guidelines. Ethical clearance was obtained from the Ministry of Health Vector Control Division Research Ethic committee under number VCDREC 162 and Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) HS2487ES. We obtained voluntary verbal informed consent from all the respondents before the commencement of each interview. Interviews were held in conditions and environments that ensured privacy of the respondents and the data were stored in a manner that did not allow access by an authorized persons. Also, the data storage removed any information such as names that can be used to identify the respondents.
