: The proposed project involves secondary analysis of de-identified data from an existing data set from the Family Relationships Project, housed at Pennsylvania State University. The sample includes 194 two-parent families with at least two offspring recruited through school districts in the northeastern U.S. Younger siblings were 8 years of age and older siblings were 10 years of age, on average (at Time 1). The sample is approximately equally divided in terms of the sex constellation of the sibling dyad (girl-girl, girl-boy, boy-girl, boy-boy). After obtaining informed consent and assent (for siblings under age 18), data were collected in annual home interviews. The University’s Institutional Review Board approved all procedures.
: This is not applicable because the proposed study involves secondary analysis of an existing, de-identified data set, but informed consent was obtained prior to data collection from all individual participants included in the study.
: The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest.
: The authors ensure that all data and materials as well as software application support their claims and comply with field standards.
: Along with consent to participate in this study, individuals gave consent to have their data published in a journal article.
