: This systematic review and its findings originate from the first author’s research report that was submitted for examination in 2022, at the University of the Witwatersrand in partial fulfilment of the requirements of the conferred qualification of Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. The study holds ethical clearance from the University of the Witwatersrand, School of Human and Community Development Ethics Committee Constituted Under the University Human Research Ethics Committee (Non-Medical) [protocol number: MCLIN/20/11]. Data for the analysis was only obtained from secondary data (published journal articles) with appropriate crediting.
