: We utilised administrative data collected by the South Australian Department for Education. Participation in the Wellbeing and Engagement Collection is voluntary. Schools and students are given the option not to participate. Parents are given the opportunity to withdraw their children. Australian school students can be withdrawn from standardized tests of academic achievement by parent/carer for reasons such as religious beliefs or philosophical objections to testing or are exempted due to inadequate English or disability.
