: This research uses secondary data produced by Children’s Worlds: International Survey of Children’s Well-Being (ISCWeB). The research team of each country collected data based on ethical approval from a relevant committee in one’s own country. The ethical guidelines for ISCWeB are described in Rees & Main ().
: This study does not need to obtain direct consent from survey participants since it utilizes secondary data. However, Children’s Worlds project indicates that all children respondents had an active and informed choice upon the survey participation. Also, the Children’s Worlds project obtained consent from parents or schools depending on each country’s research ethic standards.
