: The research was approved by the Board of the Tropimundo Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree in Tropical Biodiversity and Ecosystems, following the guidelines of the Ethics Committee of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel University, whereby respect for the cultural norms and practices of the participants is mandated, as well as the use of a signed informed consent form. All interviews were recorded and transcribed for analysis following the explicit consent of the participants. The objectives of the study were clearly explained to the participants prior to their engagement.
