: Ethical issues are likely to arise during the conduct of a research study. For one, this study drew on private patient data that is readily available at the study sites. That notwithstanding, since the data is private ethical clearance was sought from the owners of the facilities, Ghana Health Service and other institutions. The approvals are listed as follows: Ethics Committee for Basic and Applied Sciences (ECBAS), Universityof Ghana (REF. No: ECBAS 012/21-22),. Ghana Health Service Ethics Review Committee (REF NO: GHS-ERC010/04/22), Institutional Review Board of UGMC (REF NO: UGMC-IRB/MSRC/012/2022). Ethical Review Committee of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (REFNO: CCTHERC/EC/2023/009). Permissions were sought and granted by all the Heads and Managers ofinstitutions responsible for the mammography facilities that were used inthis study.

: Consent to participate was sought for the study since data of patients were collected for the study. Consent to publish was sought, however patient’s identity was not disclosed, their names and facilities were all coded.
