: An ethical clearance was sought from the University of Cape Coast Institutional Review Board (UCC-IRB) to ensure that all ethical issues are appropriately dealt with. In addition, the researchers requested an introductory letter from the Department of Arts Education to seek permission from publishers whose textbooks were used. Anonymity and confidentiality were ensured by implementing a system of replacing textbook names or titles with Alpha-numerical codes. Thus, assigning pseudonyms to replace the titles of the textbooks. This was to reduce the risk of publisher or textbook defamation.
