: This study examined the link between off-farm income and dietary diversity in subsistence agriculture. Before data collection, participants were assured of the anonymity of their responses through a confidentiality statement. The study protocol and questionnaire received ethical approval from both the Statistical Service of Burundi (N/réf:540/95/4066/2019) and UZGent, Belgium (Goedkeuring_EC2019-1951-BC06872). Informed consent was obtained from all participants, including caregivers of children, before the interviews began.
