: There is no defined law for blood and tissue sample collection in Ethiopia from slaughtered animals and so no consent was obligatory. In this study, we took blood and heart samples after having permission from slaughterhouses. Besides, we used mice for experimental analysis following the guideline on how to use laboratory animals and having permission from the animal welfare committee from the University of Gondar.
