: The acute toxicity test was approved by the University of Buea– Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (UB-IACUC NO 07/2020). The animals used in this study received handling and treatment by trained technicians working in the animal house of the study laboratory in accordance to the guidelines of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development version 423 (OECD ).
