Compliance with Ethical Standards

: All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. The study was approved by the University of Houston-Downtown’s Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects and by the University of Houston’s Institutional Review Board. All study participants provided written and verbal informed consent prior to enrolling in the study.
