: The study was conducted according to the principles expressed in the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by Xuzhou Central Hospital’s Ethics Committee (grant number: XZXY-LK-20230626-099) and the Animal Ethical and Welfare Committee of Xuzhou Medical University (grant number: 202302T010). The maximal tumor size permitted by our institutional ethics committee guidelines is 2 cm in diameter. We confirm that the maximal tumor size/burden as outlined by our ethics committee was not exceeded at any point during the study. In all cases, animals were closely monitored, and any discomfort or significant tumor growth was addressed promptly.
