: BALB/c nude mice (GemPharmatech Co., Ltd, China) were housed in a specific pathogen-free environment of Nanjing Medical University (Nanjing, China). All operations involving live mice were conducted in accordance with established ethical guidelines of the National Institutes of Health Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. The present study has been approved by the Animal Core Facility of Nanjing Medical University (approval numbers IACUC-2509074). The maximal tumor size permitted by our institutional ethics committee guidelines is 20 mm in diameter. We confirm that the maximal tumor size/burden as outlined by our ethics committee was not exceeded at any point during the study.
