Ethics approval and consent to participate: All experimental protocols involving human participants, human tissue samples, and animals were reviewed and approved by the relevant institutional ethics committees. The use of human gastric cancer tissues and adjacent non-tumor tissues was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Nanjing Medical University and the Ethics Committee of Tongling People’s Hospital (Approval No. 2019-008). All animal experimental procedures were reviewed and approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Animal Ethics Committee of Nanjing Medical University.
