Compliance with ethical standards

: All procedures followed were in accordance with the ethical standards of Declaration of Helsinki (General Assembly of the World Medical Association ). According to Swedish Ethical Review Act (SFS 2003: 460), no ethical review is required when a research involves interviewing public figures or figures working on public committees (Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs ). Nevertheless, we abided by the Declaration of Helsinki guidelines’ on human subject research participation (General Assembly of the World Medical Association ). We sent out an invitation to all potential participants via email, attached to which was an overview of the study and its aims. When the participants agreed to participate in the study, we set a time and place convenient to them where we ensured the privacy of interaction. Moreover, we obtained permission to record the interviews, which were kept together with the rest of the data on a password-protected computer, to which only the researchers had access. Participants were informed that they were free to withdraw from the study at any point in time without having to explain why.
