: Based on the examples listed online in the Instructions for Authors (ExternalRef removed) the authors don’t believe Ethics Approvals are appropriate here. Having said that, the University of Illinois and Illinois Department of Natural Resources authors collecting data have permits from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to conduct research in Illinois and The Nature Conservancy owns the property studied, allowing those authors access to study the site.
