: In the 1990s, Dr. Brent served on the Speakers’ Bureau of Orphan Medical, the manufacturer of Antizol (trade version of fomepizole), and Dr. McMartin has an ongoing royalty agreement with Mericon Investment Group, which sub-licensed the rights to Antizol to Orphan Medical and hence to subsequent drug companies that subsumed Orphan Medical.
