: As our study is a secondary data analysis of some of the variables of the LASI survey and the authors were not involved in data collection process, ethical clearance or consent to participate was not required.. However, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) extended the necessary ethical clearance and guidelines to undertake the survey. The data is freely available on request and all the protocols were followed by the survey agencies that conducted the survey and collected the data.
